Student Businesses Open for Valentine's Day, Feb. 14!

Student businesses will be open from about 8 am until about 6 pm... or until they sell out.
Not only are students learning business but they are also putting philanthropy in action.
This year's class will probably give back about $2,000 of their own profits to various charities.

"Leadership Unleashed!"

Youth Corps is a life-changing leadership training experience for 36 outstanding 9th and 10th grade students in the Midlands (Richland & Lexington counties). The 2016-2017 class began in August 2016 and ends in May 2017. Youth Corps is now accepting applications for the 2017-2018 class. In Youth Corps, participants experience nine different areas (modules) in which they gain exposure and opportunity. Each module is led by top community leaders and will last one month; the students participate in about 12 hours per month.

In Youth Corps, you will…

  • Start your own business
  • Lead a community service project
  • Help victims of crime
  • Support actual legislation at the State House
  • Discover careers of your interest
  • Interact with the world of journalism
  • Gain money management skills
  • Explore the arts & culture
  • Develop as a leader
    … and make a difference in your community!
